Escape

Pulling inward,
Withdrawing from what is set before me.
Leaving reality behind me,
Travelling down a one way street into
Oblivion.

Sanctuary at last.

Again, here, quite simply, I was feeling lousy and this came to mind. Short, direct, but to the point. No wasting of words or emotions, just plain laying it on the line. Amazing how longwinded me can do that sometimes.
I checked out your edited works and left comments for you to read, Hon...Isn't the job of editing a ton of fun? That's why most of what I post is just as it originally comes out of my fingers and onto the page. I've made lots of errors, but you know, that's how my writings originated and since I'm not seeking publication, I guess my attitude there is "what you see is what you get."
Trust me, you're doing a great job on your poems, keep up the grand job, Hon.
You've much to proud of!

Deep. Contemplative. Dark. I like it, Charlie.

Thanks, Serena. Not too often I'm short, but direct, yet seemingly aloof all at the same time. I was happy with this one, too, actually. Thanks for the kind comment.
