Futility

Another year spirals towards its end,
Mocking me, letting me know that yet again,
I've failed to leave my mark,
To make a difference
To take control and be in charge
Of this meaningless life
I continue to cling to.
Hoping the New Year arrives
And enables me to be more
Accept less
And move forward
And be in command.
Loneliness eats like a cancer,
Devouring the heart,
Clouding the mind
And possessing my soul
As I try to traverse
The mountain in front of me,
Wondering to myself,
What direction do I take?

Your friendship is not futile

Years always seem to spiral to an end,
Mocking all, teasing everyone yet again.
We do so much yet never seems like enough, if we let it this feeling will swallow us up.
You dear one have made more then a mark, an indentation seen even in the dark.
Making a difference for many to see.
You made a difference in me dont you now see.
Never let go of life, never give up hope, there are ones out there like me that can try and help each other cope.
When 2007 comes to be
I will continue to see exactly what I have always seen
Never need you to be more
Dont seem like the kind to accept
Move forward dear one with all that you can
Doesnt appear to be in any less command
You seem to be all that you are
You are a man
We all have trials imperfect may be
Dont ever stay with loneliness for dont you now see
You have you friends and family, and dear Charlie
you have me
Take back now your heart from the lions grip
Clear out your mind dont let it take you for a trip
You are your soul and to you its owned
It is all yours and not out on loan
You can transverse just like the rest,
When taken one step at a time the mountain is scalled the best

Best wishes dear friend
Hope you dont mind i put a twist to your poem

Love this response, Autumn! Very, very calculated, very touching and indeed, I loved it! Can't wait to work together on a poem with you, I believe we will do a splendid job collaborating on it. I am really enjoying all the recent work you are doing on your site as well. The words are truly erupting from you right now, so take full advantage of that and let them come full force for us all.
