After a 3 1/2 drive to go 77 miles, Peggy and I succeeded in arriving at our destination at Clifty Falls and enjoyed four wonderful days at the Clifty Inn. We had some much needed rest time, some great meals and got to visit with our good friend Scott, who took us to dinner at a new pub called the Boneyard Grill.
I must admit the drive down had a few harrowing moments, once we got out of Decatur county and hit the Jennings county line and farther down into Jefferson county, the highways were really pretty nasty, and we drove thru a couple of white outs as well. All in all, though, after a slippery descent down Hanging Rock Hill, we did arrive safe and sound and only left the park once during our four days.
It was a truly nice relaxing visit, and we're looking forward to it again next year, just hoping for much better weather.

Hopefully a good time was had by all down at the Daytona 500. And what was it with those potholes on the Daytona track? Potholes are expected here in Indiana with the freezing and thawing that breaks down the asphalt pavement. But in Florida???
Did you see that Kevin Green posted your blog site web address in the 2-20-10 rants & raves? It looks like you'll be getting a lot more hits on your blog from here on out.
Something tells me I have you to thank for that, RG. Wasn't expecting to see that but I must issue you a thank you for doing that.
And yeah, what WAS with those potholes? Other than the two red flags that was actually quite an entertaining race. Funny, Fox still got have a night race because of those potholes, too. Hmmmm, wonder how that played into their tv plans?
And, you're right, back to life as usual tomorrow morning. Reality comes back and bites us, does it not?
